About Me

I'm Kristin, nice to meet you! I consider myself a rather lucky lady to be the wife of my childhood sweetheart, Adam and a mother to my mini-me, Kayla and his mini-him, Cameron. I've worn many different "hats" in my life, but none quite as satisfying, or as frustrating, as the mother hat.
I am a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and grew up in Ann Arbor, MI where I currently call home. My entire family and I are rabid University of Michigan fans and you'll normally find us out of commission on most football Saturdays in the fall as we are rooting on our Wolverines, GO BLUE!
Thanks for visiting my blog, hope you stick around for a bit!

What's This All About?
To be up-front and honest, I needed a release. The last few years have been filled with quite the range of emotions, experiences, trials and tribulations for me and my family -- whaaaa whaaaa whaaaa -- poor me, yeah whatever. Anyhow, I started blogging. Not this blog, a much more explicative filled, private blog that maybe I'll be ballsy enough to share with you all one day.
Long-story-short, I'm what I would call a middle-aged, former young professional who has stumbled into the role of SAHM (which by the way is my least favorite acronym EVER and I absolutely DESPISE seeing it) -- Stay At Home Mom -- by circumstance. Don't get me wrong, I do work -- and I work hard. However, in addition to working, I am also a stay at home mom who gets the luxury of juggling what seems like to be everything that keeps this world spinning some days. In a brief moment of silence a few years back, I began writing my first book which has since turned into two books, both currently unpublished. After sharing some tid-bits with friends, I realized that people actually enjoyed hearing what I had to say! They enjoyed hearing my stories in life -- and moreover -- people REALLY enjoyed hearing the humor that formed through the complete dysfunction of what had seemingly become my life.
I'll be the first to admit, that I complain about things -- and if you're all honest, you'll admit it too. Shit's not perfect, therefore we complain. It doesn't mean that I'm not grateful, just that I can bitch about things and it makes me feel better or justified or "right" in my case for feeling the way I did or do. I've found a lot of humor in the every day type things and even within my bitching moments, and I enjoy sharing it with you and pointing it out. Even if it makes me look like a jack-ass.
On another note: I do not claim to have perfect punctuation placement, impeccable spelling or have proper use of all diction. I like to use dot dot dots (...) and hyphens (---) and tend to over-use them in siutations where they may not be appropriate. If you can't stand it, sorry. Move onto another blog, this one ain't for you.
Take what I say at face-value. Try not to over-analyze and enjoy your time spent here with me. "It is what it is" and "life is too short" so "be a team-player" and "carpe diem".
I also tend to over-use cliches. Please pretend there's a thing over the e in cliche.
Be well my friends,
Kristin
