I know, I know, it's barely the beginning of the new year, but I can't help to think ahead and start mental preparation for Valentines Day. I know many have dubbed this day a "Hallmark Holiday", but I absolutely adore it. I mean, what's better than telling someone how much you love them?!?
This year I'm preparing cute little INEXPENSIVE gifts for my daughters teachers and here's some of the ideas I'm tossing around.

Goodies In A Jar - Under $2
So this picture shows different colored M&M's -- which happen to be my daughters favorite. A great idea would be to make the customized M & M's that have your child's name on some and a cute message on others. However, I'm thinking Hershey Kisses/Hugs are a home run too! All you have to do is add a little ribbon to the top and maybe have your child write a little note to attach to the top and you're done. I'm guessing total cost to be about $2/jar.
Diggin' On You Shovels - Under $3
Again, SUPER CUTE idea! Shovels are available for less than a dollar at Target or any craft store and the plastic cellophane wrap is as well. Fill with plain or customized M & M's themed for the holiday, add a card and ribbon and VOILA!
Handmade Valentines Cards - Priceless!
ALERT, ALERT -- BIG HIT WITH GRANDMA!
Now, these cards seem to be a tad labor intensive, depending on the age of your kids. However, they are a HUGE hit with grandparents and a keepsake they will treasure forever. Although they are a tad messy and my child will likely not sit still long enough to complete one, we'll definitely be giving these a try this year.
