Summer is my favorite season - for obvious reasons! Because it's been a not-so-hot minute since we've seen even 60 degrees here in Michigan, I figured I'd start a series of my favorite summer cocktails now that the weather seems to be turning around. FINALLY.
My first summertime fav is Sangria and I truly have the BEST recipe. I've thrown many a get-together where people have raved about this fabulous concoction, so give it a try and let me know what you think! Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 (750 milliliter) bottle sangria wine
1/2 cup sour apple schnapps
1/2 cup rum (optional, but recommended)
1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
1 cup halved seedless grapes
1 lime (or lemon), sliced
Directions:
1. Stir together the wine, schnapps, rum, strawberries and grapes in a large serving pitcher. Chill for at least one hour before serving.
2. Garnish with lime or lemon slices -- I prefer lime.
3. Serve and enjoy!
