One of my all time favorite movies, Fried Green Tomatoes, was on television recently and I caught the tail end.
I. Love. This. Movie.
Interesting fact -- did you know this movie was filmed in Juliette, GA where hubby use to work? Anyhow, while watching the movie for the first time I realized how many good lessons this movie puts forth. Some simple, some complex, but all life lessons you can take with you.

1. No matter what age, you are never too young or too old to make lifelong friends. Cherish those friendships because they are one-in-a-million!
2. Sometimes you have to sit on the sidelines, let those friends make their own decisions and learn for themselves that it was a massive mistake.
3. A good fairy-tale story told by a handsome young man can keep you dreaming for years to come.

4. Even if you're wrapped in cellophane, no man will ever get the "I need attention" message you're sending. Just tell him what's up. They are morons.
5. You will find strength, and weakness, in the most unlikely places in life.
6. It's okay to tell a lie sometimes for the betterment of society -- just make sure you're swearing on a Moby Dick book and not the Bible. Heck, our Congress and leadership do it every day!
7. A friendly game of poker never hurts anyone.

8. Regardless of how you may feel about yourself, YOU ARE DESERVING! An older car, larger pant size or smaller paycheck doesn't make you unworthy.
TO-WAN-DA!
9 . Let some light in your life (and house), tear down some walls.
10. Death comes too soon. Be sure to tell those you love just how much they mean to you EVERY DAY, not just today.
